本次很高興有機會邀請到來自日本的藝術家Yuka Otani來本校演講，Yuka Otani 畢業於羅德島設計學院及多摩美術大學，以玻璃工藝為主要專業領域，具有豐富的經驗。本次演講的題目為「Cultivating Curiosity」，Yuak運用糖與玻璃媒材兩者之間的相似性進行創作實驗的精神，著實給設計學院的同學灑滿了飽飽的創作靈感，也勾起了許多人的創作魂。
We are very pleased to have the opportunity to invite Yuka Otani from Japan to give a lecture at our school. Yuka Otani graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and Tama Art University with a rich of experience in the field of glass art. The title of this speech is "Cultivating Curiosity". Yuka applied the similarity between glass and sugar to conduct creative experiments in using different media. It brings creative inspiration to the students from the College School of Design and helps recollect students inner drive for creating.
